* Hans Ziller: About the middle of 1944 we put U-3514, Type XXI, in 
service, again in Danzig. Left Danzig on 2/2/1945 via Ronne (Bornholm), 
Travemunde. Finishing at Howaldt in Hamburg. Back to Kiel, Kattegat, 
Skaggerak, Kristiansand, Egersund, Stavanger, Haugesund, Bergen, 
11th U-FI. under Lehmann-Willenbrock—And that was the end. Last days 
under new commander, KL Klaus Willeke. (The boat brought eight slightly 
wounded soldiers from Hela to Travemunde.)
