Abandoned the base Pillau in East Prussia. 
Lead boat in a line of 12 U-Boats - 5 of the boats were unable to dive - There 
were about 13 refugees per boat - with a total of 169 (129??) women and children - 4 
downed pilots were rescued during the journey.
