Lt. Lohmann-Hildebrand: After launching at the Flensburger Schiffbaugesellschaft 
it was handed over.

Boat not finished, probably scuttled in May 1945*.

*Siegfried Schorner: U-1028 was used to transport refugees, thus had been completed. 
Crew took over U-1028 then and made more refugee voyages under the same emblem.
